Great read. It's basically telling you not to go mainstream, since more expensive guitars can be exactly the same uality as cheaper ones, they're just overpriced due to piss poor selling tactics. I don't know much about guitars myself, you could try this if you like. It's still quite expensive, though. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
Electric or acoustic?
Most amazing jew boots Nothing wrong with not being strong
Nothing says we need to beat what's wrong Nothing manmade remains made long That's a debt we can't back out of |
I suppose you could get a used Ovation acoustic for that price range, which I would suggest. A friend of mine had an Ovation that played and sounded great. For an electric, you could get a Squire for pretty cheap. They aren't great guitars, by any definition, but they would be good to start off with. Won't put a big dent in the old wallet. Then if you find that you really enjoy playing, after a couple of years you can pick up your dream guitar and be super happy.
I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? I didn't say I wouldn't go fishin' with the man.
All I'm sayin' is, if he comes near me, I'll put him in the wall. |
you mean a good starter one that wont sound like crap? Because I was going to suggest a $50 one at a Wally-World.
How ya doing, buddy? |
I personally dont think you can get a good guitar new for that much, however, if you go used you can.
What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
If you can tolerate a bottom of the line beater, you can get one for about $250 - $300 and these instruments are barely playable. For a decent beginning instrument, you're looking about $450 - $550 canadian. I highly recommend Godin Guitars for people who are starting. They have decent hardware and will sound good on an expensive amplifier, something which is not the case with most beginning instruments. FELIPE NO |
I agree, theres either a cheap guitar, or a good guitar, never, ever both. Unless you're into stealing. What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
