[Classic] HARDEST MARIO MOD ~ Infernal Proof

Yep, you heard me right.

This video of the hardest Mario Brothers mod (rom hack) was made and someone was doing a "trial and error" in this game.

Highlights involved timing of jumps, trick blocks, and falling into nowhere. Greatest hilarious mod I had ever seen played. If its not satisfying for you, I don't know what is.

Another hard mod is this one. The video is of someone doing a tool-assisted run through it, because doing it otherwise would be impossible. Getting through it is entirely dependent on exploiting glitches in the game.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Oh yeah I already posted this in my journal before instead of making a thread.

The best surprise to everyone who hasn't seen it is the first time he hits the hidden block. As well, when he cracks the wall, people wonder why he still continues to torture himself instead of running above.

The playthrough is pretty impressive, but hacks like these just turn the game into that most annoying of puzzle games, where you're given no context clues as to what it is you're even supposed to do. I find those to be an exercise in frustration more than anything else.

The modders themselves deserve a lot of credit though. Watch these people struggle through these hacks... and realize that the actual creators had to have actually playtested every level first. I imagine it's hard enough making sure a level works properly when it's NOT depending on expertly timed glitches!
