They just keep making piracy more and more enticing.
"Hey! Y'know what'd be great? Let's force a completely unstreamlined system to become the next standard! Even though broadcasting stations and the technology itself (let alone the consumers) are nowhere near ready to making the jump, we'll make it the standard anyway! There's no single standard format for movies in high def? That's fine, we'll let the two formats duke it out in the market and let people deal with the compatibility issues! I understand that High-def, Standard-def, Enhanced-def, 16:9 aspect ratio, and 4:3 aspect ratio are all thrown into the mix at the same time now without a single, defined, prevailing format, but that's ok! People will just buy everything to make everything out there work! Nothing wrong with having 3 different DVD players and 2 TVs for one room!"
Fucking morons. They are just digging their own financial grave. I'm holding out untill they get their shit straightened out. If they never do, then I'm fucking downloading everything I ever want to watch, listen to, or play.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.
