Changes in your life since Sep. 11
Man, five years already since September 11. Even the people in this PUEBLO in the middle of nowhere mention it here and there as I do my daily strolls.
Basically mention any significant changes that have happened in the last 60 months. Your call on what significant is. Three weeks before September 11th I had just moved out of my mom`s place. In the last five years I`ve somewhat learned what it takes to be a father to children of various ages. On October 15th, 2001 (coincidentally the same day my username was meant for the year before) I found out I was gonna be a father. I then became a father to Vincent on June 2nd 2002. I later became a father to my daughter Vanessa on November the 19th, 2004. I`ve yet to so much as touch her. Of the last 60 months I`ve spent 34 in various jails and prisons. I`ve also been deported, have started to get to know my country of birth and its strange customs, and have met my father who I`d never seen since leaving Guatemala at age two. I`ve also met a massive amount of family which is strange for me because in the states I only had my mother, an aunt, and two cousins. And my brother... Occasionally. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Lol nothing, if anything, ive just learned how powerful media really is, to have the power to make something not that big look like the huegest thing evah.
edit: i probably should add that i do think WTC is a sad thing, just not that bad compared to other tragedies that happend and are still happening around the world. The worst thing is that it ruined the image of muslim or middle-eastern people in general. no homo |
I like how everything OO listed were in no way affected by the September 11 attacks.
HEY GUYS, HOW MUCH HAS YOUR LIFE CHANGED SINCE JUNE 27, 1987... This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Ahh, damn it. I might as well pernamently retire from making threads. Fuck you Burger. I feel ridiculous just answering to a person with that name.
Yeah, it`s just a milestone date for how your life has changed since. Not necessarily as a result of what happened that day itself, since I doubt many people here have been THAT affected for me to make a thread on the subject. Just as a WELL, FIVE FUCKING YEARS ALREADY, WHAT`S NEW GUYS? Csn you handle that, Merv? I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
I live in Michigan and wasn't directly effected by 9/11 nor was anyone I know, but it has changed my view of the world and it caused me to start watching cable news and I have been doing so for the last 5 years to the day.
If it had not happened I would have been ignorant and said what I thought about cable news on 9/10/01 and before: "Oh, those news channels? Those are nothing but for old people with boring lives". Most amazing jew boots |
It has not affected my life at all. Even if it did affect me or people/aquaintences I know in the most indirect way, I probably still would not become an anti-terror fanatasict that so many All American people are these days.
What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
Fuck it. It didn`t have to be about what changes the day itself has caused in your life. Just, what`s been going on for you in the last five years? But apparently people aren`t paying attention or are just plain fucking stupid. I`m closing this embarassment. You can all go fuck yourselves with your 100+ views and five posts. I`d just delete this shit if I could.
