I've encountered people like that before, and from my experience, you're better off just letting it go. You will always meet people like that, and it's better if you just let it go and not worry about it (be glad he didn't go into work with a machine gun or something, that'd be even worse).
Like others have said, you already "won" this little debate anyway, so leave it at that. I'm sure that guy's got more pressing concerns (esp. after the management heard the complaints), and doesn't need someone to start more crap up for him.
If you're still so angry as to hold a grudge against this man still, you may need some anger management classes yourself. Just stop thinking about it, and in time you'll see that it's not worth getting angry over still.
