Just when I'm really getting used to #Reload...
![]() I'm still looking forward to this game (I wanted to meet Frenchie in SF to play Slash), but I'm curious: how have Millia, Bridget and I-no changed? Keep in mind I'm not very big on the fighting game lingo, but I do think I'm a decent player. I'm trying to prep for EVO this year, even though I'm sure I'll get my ass kicked in the first round. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Playing GG on the XBox controller is pretty awkward. Unless you feel really comfortable with it, I wouldn't recommend practicing there.
As for your other questions, I'm no GG expert. Practice with normal difficulty until you get the hangs of things. When you're used to the speed and controls and combos and movesets of whatever character you use, go on and play MANIAC MODE. It's as close as you're going to get to some decent training without a friend or playing online (which, from my experience, has some pretty bad lag). There's nowhere I can't reach. |
D-pad is best. Just easier to pull off moves that way.
Boss I-No is a cheap beast, but she's pretty simple to defeat. If you can't figure out where her ball attack is heading, then zip around and pull an Instant Kill on her. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Wait, Capcom Fighting Jam was balanced? Were we playing the same game?
Glad to hear about I-No's upgrade. Maybe I'll start training with her again. Giggity. Most amazing jew boots |
I was speaking idiomatically. |
I'm pretty sure Shoryuken.com will have some info on their message boards. The Llama probably (see most definitely) knows of more sources than I do.
How ya doing, buddy? |
Although I find bricks far more menacing, getting hit upside the head with a giant key just sounds painful.
I finished downloading it and I'm trying to unzip, but just about every computer is being a bitch to me right now. I should be playing it later tonight. TheFrenchLlama received his in the mail yesterday, so expect a post from him soon. How ya doing, buddy? |
Order-Sol is pretty fun to play. My friends and I gave Slash at least 8 hours of play over the past two days and we're settling into our characters again. I'm not a hardcore, in-depth fighting game enthusiast like some of you, so I'm not savy with the lingo and (most) technical aspects of games in this genre. My friend insists that I-No's Stroke the Tree attack is uber cheap, especially since it temporarily stuns a character and can be used repeatedly. I beg to differ~
I can't play Millia quite the same as I did in #Reload. My other two characters, Bridget and I-No, of whom I took a break from to develop my #Reload Millia, are now my ultimate weapons of pwnage. Order-Sol is still getting a lot of play from me, as I like the concept of strengthening moves (even if it's kind of risky). I still can't do his third UBER level 3 super, though. ![]() My friends are actively playing Venom, Johnny, A.B.A, and Potemkin. The latter's new "counter" punch managed to whoop my ass, and even after I found ways around it the attack still catches me off guard. All-in-all I'm enjoying Slash, but I keep hearing random negative responses regarding the "improved" system and what/not. Would anybody care to explain? I haven't heard anything specific so it could just be mindless, Gamefaqs-esque bullshit. What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
TheFrenchLlama's name was and still is SpiritJuice.
Jam it back in, in the dark. |
