My first system was an NES, followed by my beloved Sega Genesis. I was on the whole "SEGA" side in the Sega versus Nintendo era. That was fun. I remember when Mortal Kombat came out and the controversy around the content in both the SNES and the Genesis versions (although I can't really remember which one was censored). My dad rented it and let me play, but I remember feeling 'dirty' back then. Like the game was going to make me into some kind of evil sinner or something.
I recall bugging the shit out of my parents for a Sega CD. I only wanted it for Sonic CD. Never got it. Somehow got the Saturn for Christmas, bought the Dreamcast a few years later, and finally the PS2 later. That about ended my Sega fanboyism. That and Knuckles' weak-ass theme song from Sonic Adventure 2.
Jam it back in, in the dark.
