Fan-Made Games/Levels
I'm aware there's a fair share of fan-made games (like that 2D Halo game) as well as fan-made levels of existing games (like original levels for Mario, Mega Man, and possibly FFVI or Chrono Trigger. I remember reading way back at one site making an FFVI sequel of sorts), but I've never actually tried any of them.
So I'm making this thread where everyone can recommend some good fan-made games and levels. Basically list anything that puts a creative (but also good) spin on the classics. Perhaps a Mario game that adds new types of enemies, or an RPG expansion that features above-average fanfiction writing. Here's an example I found; though I haven't played it, the concept itself is interesting. Creating all new levels using existing Disney games and sprites is pretty neat. http://www.the-mousehole.net/KHIH/ And I'm sure most people remember those wacky Street Fighter II machines, the ones that featured Ryu throwing a hundred hadokens, Blanka bouncing around the screen, or Guile projecting a double of himself. http://www.scary-crayon.com/games/sf2pc/ So whether it's something absurd, wacky, or completely original, I want to see what kind of fan-made games exist out there, as long as it's fun to play. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
