Let me focus on that for a second. I know it was mentioned before how to lower the damage levels of characters, but could you give me that information again? I aggree that Zero does ridiculous damage, but I want to retool the other heavy damage characters (Nightmare, Sephiroth, and especially that goddamn Shredder).

Also, I have a new request; Rimururu. I haven't been able to find Nakoruru's sister anywhere. I'd like her standard and younger version (from SS0).

I've been asking about this for a while, too. How do you make it so you can pick characters from categories like that? It would make organizing my characters much easier.

D-Shinobi gave me his screenpack, which has categories for easier organizing (Capcom, Anime, Guilty Gear, etc).

What I'd like to do, though, is keep the EVE font, title screen, sound effects, background and so forth, but with the category select screen in place. How would I go about doing that?

I've been trying to figure out the same thing myself. WooshaQ told me to use Fighter Factory, which I downloaded, but all I see is a program to create characters.

It would be helpful if someone simply made an EVE pack that has the select screen with categories (Anime, Capcom, etc) patched into it, then just send the whole thing through rapidshare or something. Because I really don't know how to do this myself.

It would help if I knew the one thing to replace in EVE; data, font, or plug-in. Again, the only thing I want to change is the select screen, so it has categories to better sort the characters.

Also, can I keep adding character blocks under "Bonus Characters" as much as I want? I want to create more character spaces without obscuring the portraits.

Well it seems that editing the category screen into EVE is no easy task, so I think I'll give up on that idea. Instead, I'm asking everyone to recommend the best screenpacks that feature the category select screen.

Excellent, that screenpack is exactly what I'm looking for. I only have a couple more questions, and I should have the ideal MUGEN I've been looking for.

1. How do I set it to double res 4? I didn't have to do this with EVE, but this version has a lower quality video.

2. How do I install a custom lifebar and sounds (CvS2)? I did this for EVE, but uh...I forgot how to do it. :/

3. How do I change the category names? I tried renaming a couple of them, but they wouldn't display on the screen afterwards.

I need help using FF as well. I see directions on how to edit characters, but not how to edit the .sff file so I can put whatever category names that I want. This process is totally new to me, so I appreciate a step-by-step tutorial.

They have a Zetta character? Oh crap, what if they have any other NIS characters (Laharl!)? If anyone has any NIS characters, I'll take them no matter who it is.

You could just give us the font buttons and we can replace it ourselves, at least that's as far as I can go right now. If you're willing, I would like the following categories.

Cartoon (as in non-japanese ones)
JoJo
NES
Games
MB (Melty Blood. Maybe M Blood)
SF (Street Fighter)
SNK
Comic (or DC and Marvel, respectively)
Live (live characters like Omega Tom Hanks or Zidane)
XXX (the more risque characters)
Megaman
Bonus

Thanks, that did it. I tried out Raiden_DX's lifebar, and it's a definite improvement. I only have two issues with it.

1. Some character portraits don't appear correctly (colors are messed up, not sure if the Dos2Win will fix it).

2. There's no slow motion effect when you knock someone out. I'm not sure if it's meant to be like that, or if it's something on my end (am I supposed to replace the fonts too?).

I just recently saw the character trading thread. It's a good idea, as this thread has been far too cluttered with people posting just for this and that character. I don't suppose some mod could erase the first 30 or so pages of requests? I'm still debating whether to update the thread or close it and start over.

I'm almost done sorting all of my characters (over 1200!) and putting them in the appropriate categories for EVE Battle. After that, I have to add a stage for each one, along with music. As I've mentioned before, MUGEN takes a lot of work, but the end result is just fun, fun, fun.

Anyway, I know we don't request characters here anymore, but maybe you could at least tell me what the deal is with this.





Also, has anyone downloaded the Evangelion MUGEN game? I'm trying to transfer the characters from that game into my existing MUGEN, but I keep getting error messages. Is it possible?

I have a question for EVE Battle. I want to rearrange the character selection names to keep it in alphabetical order (ie anime before capcom). I know how to open the .sff file in Fighter Factory, and I know how to replace the name with a saved .sff button, but what if I want to rearrange the existing buttons? Say if I wanted to take the anime button and replace it with the capcom one, how would I do that? I thought you would merely save the button as a .pcx, but every time I try that I get a "image is linked" message. Help me out, please.

Also, it seems MUGEN was recently updated, fixing some of the major bugs.

It seems you misunderstood my question, or I didn't phrase it correctly, so I'm trying again, this time with pictures.

I want to use Fighter Factory to re-arrange the categories in EVE Battle. For example, I want to put this:



before this.



I know already how to replace one button with a custom button that I saved, like the ones DJ Van made here.



But I don't know how to rearrange the buttons that were already part of EVE Battle. Please tell me how to do this.
