I am not a germophobe, but I do try to keep things wiped down more often than not. I'm a bit more anal when dealing with raw eggs or raw chicken. If I'm cooking with either I typically end up washing my hands about 5-7 times while cooking, to make sure I don't cross-contaminate and kill my roommates.
