All of the above, yeah. Although I've heard some people pop their collars to make themselves look taller and sometimes thinner, as it covers the neck but in such a way as not to accentuate size. Still, popping the collar looks idiotic and you'll never catch me doing it.
It's mostly the fashion trends that make no sense that really bug me, like the aforementioned fur boots in tropical climate, or (multiple) belts above the shirt. I mean...why? Also, the ever-popular tie. Not much of a trend, since it's so well established, but why tie a piece of super expensive fabric around your throat? Let's be honest, here. So what if it covers up the buttons on your shirt. It's a piece of fabric that you paid $70 for, and it looks like a piece of someone's kilt. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Yeah...if they began as a bib, why the heck are they made out of silk now? If they're meant to cover the buttons on the shirt, why do they have to be $40 a pop?
And if they're meant to cover buttons, why in heaven's name do girls put them over shirts without buttons? These are the questions that beg answers. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
Hah, came across another one walking to class this morning: guys who walk around in the cold wearing a scarf, big ski gloves, and a t-shirt. ...what?!
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
