[PS2] Final Fantasy XII

Hah, that guy wiping out Fafnir was psycho. He must have been level 99 before he got Reddas, too, with the amount of life Reddas had. Insane the amount of time that would take.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Spat, I worked on the same thing earlier today. It took me 30 minutes of zoning and wiping out the map to get him to spawn. Finally it worked, and I went off to church with it going, and come back only to see that my cornering Balthier wasn't effective enough and I'd been chased into the 'secret' hallway down the way (with the Oilers) after only 520 zombies. I was a bit peeved, but he respawned in the same place and I was able to get 7 levels on 3 of my guys. Just switched out to the other ones, so I hope I'll have a team around 73 by tomorrow morning. I don't dare take on the Behemoth King or anyone else until then.

Apparently you can get lucky and have it spawn earlier, but it's another one of those quirky things about FF12 you can't predict. Just wipe out everything on the screen, then go to the east (the room with the save crystal) and go back in and see if he comes in at that intersection. I dunno. It was frustrating getting it started, but it hasn't had any issues since.

I'm going to be spending time leveling either way. Whether it's autoleveling while I'm doing other things, or whether I have to take hours of time to level up with skeletons (consequently destroying my desire to play the game), it's basically the same to me.

Once I'm at the point where I can actually get black orbs, that'll be very useful. It makes sense, too, if you know how to read tables. :P I tried the subterra in average level 64 and basically got owned in short order. Prepped better for it the second time and got through two waves before I very nearly got very owned again. Now that I've done some levelling up I'll give it another shot, but being swarmed by 8 mobs the same level as me was not easy to survive.

I got my guys up to about level 75, then took on the Subterra. Fun place once you can handle the swarms of enemies. Eventually I picked up the Ultima sword (!), the Ragnarok (obviously, from the Ixion hunt), and got the loot necessary for the Whale Whisker. Trying to figure out the best configuration for my party now, which is a hassle. I'm almost done with the Abyssal level, which I guess is pretty good, but getting mobbed by guys on that level is a little harder to weather. Also almost got owned by a Magick Pot by accident, but I realized and ran in time, and now I've killed my requisite two. And my guys are average level 78. (:

They say that's only really an effective leveling machine through the mid 80's, then it's mostly just time consuming. My problem is that I poached him at the end, and he didn't get logged in my bestiary. So I'll go back someday. :/

Sadly, I think FF12 has to take another 2-day break in the interest of schoolwork.

There's a Fool's Facade somewhere in there with a room that has a chest against a wall (in a corner?) which is where I picked up my Ultima blade. I wasn't observant enough to see where it was on the map, though. =/

Man, I spent 20 minutes cleaning out enemies to try to get the Behemoth King to spawn, to no avail. Got bored and finished clearing out the Abyssal level of the Pharos. Any tips on getting the Behemoth King to spawn?
