As said, Chinese would probably be the next global language if English lost it's place. That's a bit of a problem for me, though, because listening to Chinese is shit to my ears. I can't stand listening to it without cringing. God
damn. Also, my Chinese 1 class starts this fall.
I think that Interlingua could be a good lingua franca. It's said that most adults can understand any basic Interlinuga sentence. It doesn't sound too bad, either.
