FUCKIN' FIRE EMBLEM!
Price and launch date = expected, but I'm still happy about it. The biggest surprise out of all this madness is the announcement of First-Party (and possibly Third-Party) region-free games. That means I won't have to wait for Wario Ware and Fire Emblem to be released in the US. Also sort of unexpected was the announcement of a Legend of the River King game for the Wii. The US launch titles look solid, I suppose. Twilight Princess, Trauma Center, and Elebits are probably the ones I'll get on launch. The absence of FF: Crystal Chronicles on the launch list is devastaing, but not unexpected. The same goes for the movement of Super Paper Mario to the Wii. I wasn't too happy about the pricing for the controller + nunchaku. As of right now, the nunchaku isn't a necessary purchase, but I don't want to pay $60 for a clicker and nunchake setup should it become more important for multiplayer gaming. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
If Monkey Ball isn't out at US launch, it should be out in December. Else, you could always import it since it is a JPN launch title.
There's nowhere I can't reach. |
Can't you just get the Classic Controller then?

NOA hasn't listed the MSX as being available as a VC option in the US. Has Nintendo said anything about VC games being available across all regions? Will I be able to get MSX games even though I'm in the US, assuming they're at a reasonable price?
I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
What's the Wi-Fi symbol on Tony Hawk? I thought there would be no online gaming 'til next year?
Also, Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam looks alot like Top Skater and Ollie King by Smilebit, except not as cool. I was speaking idiomatically. |
Not sure if this was announced here yet, but whatever.

I wonder how much they'll charge for the C64 games, though. I already think US$5 (I don't know how much Nintendo's charging in Australia) is too much for an NES game, but I see that being the lowest price for a virtual console game.

Wait, what? I thought Nintendo was going to have approx. 7 trillion systems at launch? If that's still the case, how big is the worry of not getting one at launch?
What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
I like how the only redeeming feature of VC list is Sega (OK, OK, Bomberman '93 and Super Star Soldier are also great). Although I have no idea what it was I expected to get in the first place from Nintendo. How ya doing, buddy? |
Hmm, I suppose I'm the only one underwhelmed by the Wii? I attribute it to the launch games being boring. Messing around with the channels is fun, but other than that, I'm having less fun than I thought I would.
