SOLDIER, unless you want a color that's not white (only other colors are Light Blue and Navy Blue), it'd be cheaper if you just waited for the Lite to come to the US. The US price will be cheaper than the JPN retail price (16,800 yen = about $150).
Jam it back in, in the dark. |
So, Nintendo's bringing cooking to the DS now: http://www.nintendo.co.jp/ds/a4vj/index.html
It isn't the first of its kind, though. Taito released Cooking Mama in March for the DS, which should be in the US this year through Majesco. However, Cooking Mama is more of a game, though it can be used as an aid. Nintendo's software is intended to be an aid, with many recipes and a guiding voice. Makes me wonder what other kinds of adult-aimed software they're going to put on the DS. They've done dictionaries and language software. If they haven't already, are they going to make mapping software like Sony did for the PSP (which works pretty well, in Japan)? Maybe Planetarium software (which is also going to the PSP)? I think it'd be nice to see Nintendo make a simple and cheap chat program, the net-based Pictochat. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
According to Gamespot, Sega's bringing Sangokushi Taisen to the DS. For those who don't know, Sangokushi Taisen is an arcade game in Japan that players control by moving cards on a tablet with a built-in sensor. It's the most popular non-Fighting arcade game in Japan.
Since the DS is the only system with a touch screen, Sega has no other system to release this for. I'm not sure what Sega plans to do with this conversion, as the DS is pretty lower on power and space, but as of right now I'm a little skeptical of how this will turn out. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
I really wish they brought Navy Blue over here. I'm a little bit tired of seeing black. I'm probably still going to buy it though, making it my third DS purchase.

I own almost all the ports, so I might as well get this one, too. *sigh* I was speaking idiomatically. |
