Dragon Warrior was my first RPG, and to save, you had to go all the way back to the first castle and talk to the king. Many times, I would lose an hour of level grinding or money saving to death. So, when RPGs allowed me to save anywhere, or even fairly often, I took advantage of it all the time. When I played Final Fantasy VII, I would save on the world map after every single battle. It definitely drives up my time in RPGs, along with my desire to level everyone up evenly.

Jam it back in, in the dark.
