St. Louis beat Detroit 1-0 tonight. It's the first time since Jan. 2004 the Red Wings were shut out, 175 games.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Hasek's missed a couple games due to a hand injury, which is not good... and now the Red Wings are getting torn up by Philadelphia, of all teams. Ugh. This is not good.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Well, congrats to Sakic on getting #600. I respect that, even though I hate the Avalanche.

Also, while Forsberg going to Nashville is not good news for us Detroit fans, seeing Nashville get shut out tonight was good.

And with Forsberg, Nashville loses 4-1 to Minnesota. He's not making a big impact just yet.

And Zetterberg got his first career hat trick tonight, as Detroit beat Phoenix 4-1. Jason Williams hit the post on an empty net try from five feet away ( ) but unlike another missed empty netter this season, Williams got a second chance and scored. Detroit also leaped past Nashville and into first place in the Western Conference.

I was speaking idiomatically.

Detroit's at Nashville tonight as part one of a home and home series. After one period, tempers are already flaring up between both teams, and it's tied 1-1. Looks like it'll be an interesting couple games.

I'm also switching over to the Buffalo/Pittsburgh (glad to hear they're staying) game during stoppages.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

Todd Bertuzzi's finally playing again, making his debut with Detroit tonight against Columbus. Hopefully Detroit will pull out a win here to keep pace with Nashville or possibly pass them up tonight.

Lots of other games tonight, but it seems none others are on TV here. It's a shame, there's a few I'd really like to watch.

I remember seeing that save on TV, FreeHooker. I am really worried if the Red Wings face Vancouver in the playoffs, because I have a feeling Luongo can go crazy and just shut a team down in the playoffs this year.

Hopefully the refs don't keep calling penalties like this. These are kind of uh... light penalties. Not playoff penalties. That's not the kind of stuff that should decide games.

Yeah, Penguins had a terrible start, but the series seems to be even now.

Not getting the Nashville/San Jose game on TV, but I see San Jose is winning.

Almost time for the Vancouver/Dallas game to start.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Anyone else still up watching this Dallas/Vancouver game? Going into third overtime now. Vancouver is letting up a lot of shots, but the defense and Luongo are keeping them very much in this.

Finally, at the end of the 4th overtime, Henrik finally ends this game. Welcome to the playoffs, Luongo!

I'm kind of glad I didn't watch any games tonight and had to work, because looking through tonight's scores, no one I wanted to win won.

At least Detroit's up 1-0!

Oh god, Red Wings lost again. I hope they stop the bleeding and turn things around back at home. I don't want to see another first round loss.

Detroit's got the game won, but things are starting to get a bit out of hand. Kipursoff got pulled, and McLennan came in and picked up 17 penalty minutes within 18 seconds.

And it's over, 5-1. A lot of penalties down the stretch, there could be some serious battling next game.

Still rooting for the Red Wings! I'd always love to see another cup.

I didn't see the Detroit/Anaheim game because I had to work, but it looks like Anaheim tied the series up at 1. And the tying goal the Ducks scored to force overtime, I've been hearing shouldn't have been a goal, as Hasek had the puck and was pushed into the net.

There's nowhere I can't reach.
