Looking at my NES games, I only have about 20 of them. So when I was a little kid, there was a period of time where I maybe only owned 10 games. And when I played games, it was always those ten games. Now, I own something like 150 games? Some games I'll go a few years without touching. It helped that when I was a kid, I would be playing the same games all the time, so I got very skilled at those few games.

But I do think I am a better gamer now than I was as a kid. My understanding of game mechanics and design in general is a lot better, so even in games I haven't played before, I can usually figure out which path to take or how enemies will respond quickly.
