Well, considering the fact that their security systems are complex as fuck, and the account is a pain in the ass to get to, I would have to say yes, they save my money. I have had an account for about 6 months, and I haven't touched it in 5 months.
 On a more serious note, I think they have a pretty good deal going, at least for people with simple accounts. I made interest on $0. Jam it back in, in the dark.

Savings accounts usually have higher interest rates, and you can't write checks or use debit cards for them. That is the primary difference. The rest might depend on your bank.
