Parents, Anime, and you!

My family has just a generic disdain for pretty much all anime and manga. Naturally, they all got their opinions about what anime is like through pokemon, since it is, after all, THE authoritative source for information on anime. ;_;

Also, a lot of my friends hold to the same opinion. And, because they had already decided all anime is shit even before getting a fair sampling, every time I try to expose them to any bit of anime, they all hate it anyways.

Unfortunately, it doesn't help that there are true otakus amongst some of my friends groups, and they don't do any justice to Japanese culture either, with their inferior grooming habits, awkward speech characteristics, and pathetic senses of humor.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I hate when people blame the current generation for the past generations mistakes. Happens all the time in america with certain minorities saying i owe them something. I don't owe a damn thing god dammit. My ancestors mistakes arn't mine to fix.
