I've been having trouble with my damn router. All the info I've used to connect to it has been gleaned from the net, but I'm no networking wizard. So forgive me if I sound patronising when I explain things lol....but I need help!
My computer is hooked up to it via a cable (the router's in my room), while my dad and sister's computers are connected wirelessly.
The three of us were connected to it via Dynamic DHCP, so from a range of IPs, the router would assign us a random IP addresses whenever we switch our comps on. My comp was fine and the connection never broke, but my sister and dad experienced frequent disconnections, where I would always have to reset the router and it would be fine again.
I looked up a bit of info, and decided to connect us using Static DHCP, so that we'd have the same IP all the time. For a time it worked, and the connection never broke.
But ALAS now all of our connections are breaking every couple of hours and then it connects itself again.
WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON?

How ya doing, buddy?
