Speaking of spoilers...

Spoiler:
Shamelessly taken from the animesuki forums, a few tidbits

TRANSLATION:

'After one year...a new destiny has begun.

Knight of Rounds, Kururugi Suzaku

New Character, Rollo

And a new Zero appears

New TV series to be aired at spring '08!'

Confirmed by official sources

- 1 year time skip (official trailer)
- New character's name is Rollo (trailer, NewType January)
- Suzaku has joined the "Knight of Rounds" (trailer)
- Zero has a new look (trailer, NewType January)
- Zero might not be Lelouch (Kawaguchi in NewType January)
- New season starts Spring 08
- Season 2 will take place on a global scale

By Fake Yoshino

- Season 2 starts off with scenes that appear to depict normal, everyday life; he doesn't say whose
- Rollo is a character with an "interesting role", and that "(yaoi?) fangirls will probably like it very much" (Alluding to his being Lelouch's sibling?)
- Suzaku's new position will also be an interesting one (Most likely alluding to his joining the Knight of Rounds)
- New season will air in the Sat6 slot (currently Gundam 00's)
- Subtitle for season 2 hasn't been decided upon yet, but it'll be "mostly the same"

By Taniguchi

- Taniguchi: "Fu-kuyama will find himself in an interesting position in season 2." (NewType Taniguchi + Fu-kuyama interview)
- There'll be romantic developments for Lelouch in season 2; the writers deliberately kept them out of season 1 because they felt they needed to show what Lelouch's goals are without complicating matters (PASH! Taniguchi interview)
- Season 2 will have battles after battles after battles... (PASH! Taniguchi interview)
- V.V. is one of the many "key person"s in the show, along with the new Chinese character. (PASH! Taniguchi interview)
- Some of the things that happened in Season 1 will come back to haunt Lelouch in Season 2; "he needs to learn that life is one continuous series of events, and that everything is connected" (PASH! Taniguchi interview)
- Lelouch will meet a lot of new people in Season 2; how he deals with them and gets them on his side will be something worth watching. Who knows, there might also be a betrayal... (PASH! Taniguchi interview)
- "The story has only just begun. I'm really sorry about that. (bitter laugh)" (PASH! Taniguchi interview)
- Not many characters will die from here on (Koshimizu's interview, from the Complete Guide Book; she talks about being relieved to hear it, but then realizes that "not many will die" also means "some will die".)

By Kawaguchi

- While most of the battles in Season 1 relied on Lelouch, season 2 will test the Black Knights' strength as a proper organization. Lelouch using his Geass for outrageous schemes will still be part of the show, however. (NewType)
- "I want Lelouch to continue leading a double life in season 2" (NewType)
- Not many characters will die from here on... but there will be a living hell waiting. (NewType)

By Anonymous

- 1 Year Later
- New character's full name is Rollo Lamperouge (spoiler provided long before NewType January)
- Villetta becomes an Ashford teacher in order to look for Lelouch
- When asked what becomes of Suzaku: "He's busy with his Knightly duties. From what I've seen so far, I don't know if he ever goes back to school."
- Lelouch's hair is slightly longer (not quite shoulder-length)
- Lelouch remains the protagonist; his stance hasn't changed much
- Lelouch remains an Ashford student

By animators, through their blogs

- New Chinese character looks like Yasha from CLAMP's RG Veda
- Rollo has a helmet? (Rides a bike? Unless KMF pilots are suddenly required to wear helmets now)
- There is a scene where Lelouch moves a chess piece
- "The siblings (Lelouch and Rollo) are not much alike."

New!* - A character who looks like C.C. appears.
New!* - Most of the characters on the enemy side are "good-looking".
New!* - Lelouch is as "dark" as usual (the term used in the Dark Nunnally sense), while Suzaku appears to have gone back to being Ore-Suzaku for good.

Code Geass season 2 -- SPRING! - AnimeSuki Forum

Its been so long since I've watched the end of 'season 1' of Geass, I'll probably need to go back and rewatch the end to remember just exactly what the hell happened.

Its also quite convenient that Geass is taking Gundam 00's place (though I'd still much they rather keep these seasons continuous instead of breaking them apart).

Although the biggest thing I took from that spoiler is that
Spoiler:
There is another Lelouche sibling who is alive who we're going to meet. I guess he is that baby that their mother was holding when their home was attacked (if memory serves, I could just be making stuff up, or was that Nunnally...). That and certain spoilers point to the possibility that this new sibling (Rollo is allegedly his name) isn't exactly loyal to his blood siblings...

Oh, and one more thing.
And 1 year leap eh? Bradylama, your prediction on the Gundam 00 thread about the season gap also being a time lapse seems incredibly likely.

Hail Britannia indeed.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Its definitely somewhat of a slow start but I think it helps to setup the backdrop for future' normal life' episodes.

Spoiler:
So did anyone else notice that (presumably) the emperor's Geass in his right eye?

Also, what the hell is Sunrise's Jupiter fetishr? Its in Gundam and its in Geass (connection between GN drives and C.C? hilarious).

It would also appear that Ogi didn't die from the gunshot wound that woman gave him. Who is now also a teacher at the academy? Interesting job change, oh and she is capable of leaping out of the second story window and land right on top of Rivalz, who surprisingly doesn't end up with a herniated disc or something but I digress... oh that and most of the Order of the Black Knight's elite are still alive, and it appears there is going to be a jailbreak episode next week.

I also found the parallel between this first episode and last season's first episode entertaining that is ordering a group of Britannian soldiers to kill themselves, an order with which they answered with an enthusiastic 'Yes your highness.' Very awesome.

Though I must say I'm not terribly impressed with the music so far, I found the OP to be quite mediocre and the episode lacked that Britannian theme that the first season had.

And in the end credits did anyone else catch the pic with the Emperor and V.V? if the Emperor has Geass powers could it have come from V.V? Also, where is Nunally, Lelouch will probably be rather pissed to find her missing and Rollo sort of in her place.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

So after a slow start I think things are really going to pick up.

Spoiler:
That new lord general of Japan/Area 11 (take your pick) is now dead after his short stint of being the ruler. We also discover that the Emperor has not one of his eyes with Geass, but two. In the accompanying scenes we see what happened between the last episodes of S1 and S2. After seeing that scene Suzaku's position as the 'good' guy (if you held that view) really comes into doubt. That and the emperor has some kind of crazy dig floating in mid-air.

In other news it would appear that this time around Lelouch is willing to drag other nations into his war against Britannia (which from the opening intro appears to actually only be in possession of the Americas, and not Europe, despite its name).

In the meantime we find out the whereabouts of some of the other characters of the cast (including that crazy girl who wanted to set off an atomic explosion at school, she isn't happy to see Zero again)

We also discover that Suzaku and the Emperor are now BFF. That and Rollo too possess the Geass (Geass users really seem to be growing exponentially this series)

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

If you haven't learnt to suspend disbelief by now, you really shouldn't be watching the show.
For the most part I'm willing to suspend disbelief to enjoy a good show, but lately I've been wondering if this show is even worth watching anymore
Spoiler:
Much like Rolo and Villeta Lelouch manages to convince Gottwald (Orange-kun) to join him after a brief dialogue about Lelouch's mother and how she was actually Gottwald's first charge. Wow really? is Lelouch that good that all he needs to make someone switch sides is to exchange like 4 lines of dialogue? Maybe he should go have a talk with his dad. And for like the past 3 episodes they've built up Gottwald as this character who was going to take vengence on the people who put him in his miserable state. Who knows maybe there is more at work here.

Shirley dies, and really for no reason other than she was at the wrong place at the wrong time and talked to the wrong person, it doesn't feel like the event really moved the plot at all, it seemed like the writers felt they needed to kill someone again and they happened to pull Shirley's name out of the hat this time. Though from the dialogue before she dies it sounds like they may or may not do something with her. But either way the writers are pretty damned.

I've suspended my disbelief for a while now hoping the series would pick itself up soon, but from the previews it looks like they've already magically found the place where V.V is set-up his super secret lair, no doubt characters will randomly die and allegiances will switch.

Spoiler:
Perhaps I worded my post in a wierd way, my gripe isn't so much with orange's side switching, its with how quickly and easily it happened. We get several glimpses of this guy in previous episodes to build him up to be some kind of major new nemesis, and all we get is him having a short fight on the campus, and a conversation with Lelouch before he switches sides. One would figure with the build-up they gave Orange that a bit more should've happened before Orange heard what Lelouch had to say, instead it all ended very quickly and rather disappointingly.

But maybe its just me

I was speaking idiomatically.
