Dogs FTW. Yeah sure cats have more "personality" but when you need to cuddle a pet or something the last thing you need is to find out is that your pet ain't in the mood for cuddles or what not. Dogs are more reliable, they can be counted as one of life's constants. Sure dogs aren't great at cleaning themselves but then again washing your dog can be quite fun and doesn't (really shouldn't) feel like a chore, after all maintaining your pet is simply part of really owning a pet in my opinion.
