I want to help my friend

Yeah, I'm not keen on immigration and such, but sucks to be her. She can either go with the flow, roll with the beat(ing)s, or suck it up and do what she has to.

Marrying without love isn't that big a deal to some people. I've met people in the military who got married to some friend just so they'd have a bigger paycheck. Maybe that's what she'll have to do. Though I'm also not sure what would happen if she married for citizenship and then divorced.

Frankly, though, I don't give a shit. She just wants to stay here so she can take another job away from another man who is trying to earn a living and support his family. Tell her to put the books away, love somebody, and be content.

After thinking about it, I'm apt to say "poor girl" because she was obviously dragged here.

But her parents made the conscious decision to bring her here. What are we supposed to do? Ship back her parents and not her? If that were the solution in these situations, you'd have just as many people simply shipping off their children to the states. It still doesn't solve anything.

She should go back to her country and try and make it a better place to live there.

What I don't understand is the abandonment people have for their countries. "It sux here, lez go to America." That kind of attitude is never going to make their homes any better, that's for sure.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.
