I stayed awake for a sleepover with friends a few years ago for about 18 hours, finally crashing out at about 7AM (pulled an all-nighter).
As for being asleep, 12 hours is probably the longest. I'm sure I stayed sleeping for longer when I was younger, but I can't remember at this point in time. Jam it back in, in the dark.
