Chess is a lot of fun. Back when there was no internet and time-consuming videogames, I used to play it a lot. During high-school and during summer vacation with my cousins. Lately, a co-worker and I used to play it during our lunch time, we even had a tally board just to check how many wins and losses each other had. It's a great game to pass time, and it's really good to see your plans going into place and winning the game according to how you predicted the other player's moves.
Plus, it makes you look 30% smarter to the ladies.
Jam it back in, in the dark.
