SAKA WINS COOKIE PIE FOR PREACHER THREAD.
Well, this is probably one of the books where people are kind of prejudiced at, hence they don't feel like reading it. Especially for people who are kind of afraid to try books outside the superhero theme. At first when I read the title, I thought it was about Jesus and stuff (which it is), and it's one of those religion-themed boring books. But then after reading a few issues, I got hooked. Ennis is such a great writer, and the way he wrote this book is awesome in a way, that it flows continuously issue to issue. Well, it kind of got a bit boring in the 50-is issues, but once it rebounded, I got hooked again until I read the last issue and wanting more. This is probably one of the books that I can proudly recommend to mature comics readers. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
