Hm, it seems that everyone's having the Emi-fever. I guess it wouldn't hurt to try her out. Besides, for someone who's as pretty as her, who wouldn't like her.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

They'll probably read it, and go "Whoa, another email from that weird UK dude!" And then on the new album they'll add "For that weird UK fan who kept on requesting a new album. Happy now?!" j/k

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I just got/downloaded Angela Aki's album. It's pretty good, but the songs kind of sound the same... or maybe I just haven't given it a good listen.

Whoa, YUI is in a movie? I love her music, and it would be interesting to see her act.

I just finished watching Harry Potter: The Goblet of Fire (Hermoine got hot btw), and was pretty tired, and then I noticed my Every Little Thing -Crispy Park album download finished. So I said to myself, “What the heck, I’ll give it a listen…”. I’m not that good at reviews, but this is GREAT MUSIC. I personally think it’s better than their last release (Commonplace), this is just lovely Probably more than I expected from the band. And Kaori Mochida’s look is just fantabulous!

She's so adorable

If you like female-rock music, I insist you give Anna Tsuchiya a listen. I discovered her through soulsteelgray's site (thanks man) after getting her live performance of a song inspired by the NANA anime. I instantly fell in love with the music, not only does the music rock, she performs pretty well on stage too. Her debut album "strip me?" is probably one of the best releases I heard this year. If you want a fresh taste of the Japanese female rock genre, she's perfect for you. ^^

wtf, Marty Friedman in the Jpop scene? OMINOUS!

Anyways, yeah Flara, Sowelu is one of the exceptions to my rule of "No RnB/Hip-Hop" music, along with Crystal K and Namie Amuro There may be some others, but that's the ones I can remember.

Is it just me or did Sowelu change her style? I gave her "24 - twenty four" album a listen today and I observed that most of her songs have acoustic guitar accompaniment, which in turn gave the album a whole different feel as compared to her "Geofu" and "Sweet Bridge" albums (although the last few songs kind of remind me of her old style). Nevertheless, I'm loving this album. Thanks OP and Flara!

I just listened to Younha's "Go! Younha" album. I must say I like it. Nothing beats YUI in this genre though.

Is it just me or are new artists in Japan riding on the same genre? The acoustic guitar-piano-folk-pop feel to it.

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

The movie was boring, and the only good thing about the anime is the opening song. Onmyoza rocks!

sry I only deleted the ones I don't listen to that much, mostly the rnb/hip-hop/pop stuff, and the old albums that I have sitting on my HD (sup Ayu and BoA and friends).

Don't worry naz, the cds are safely hidden in a secret treasure chest, you need to finish the Mob Hunts before you can get the chest, so it's safe. lol

/me slaps himself for deleted 5gb of jpop.

I don't really care that much anymore about Ayu, Kumi, and BoA, but new stuff from Ringo is truly something to wait for!
