I prefer pretty. Statistically speaking, a hot girl will be full of herself, materialistic, high maintenance, potentially stupid, etc. Pretty girls are down to Earth and appealing on a physical/intellectual level. That's been my most immediate impression in this country and especially at the gym I work at. So far anyway.
