Agreed, I ran that race about 50 times before I got 0 seconds, dodging the lighting bolts was hard too.
I hate it in some RPGs that a character joins your party, you level him/her up and give him/her great equipment, only to have that character leave your party permanently.
The last boss in Star Ocean 2 pissed me off... I love a challenge, but damn... that was going too far!
The worst moment for me though was with Final Fantasy VII. My cousin and I where at the point where you first reach Nibelheim and find that the town was rebuilt. The story was getting really good when we had to leave for dinner. We had the game saved before we entered the village anyway so we just turned off the game. When we came back and turned on the game, a error buzzed when we tried to load the save file saying 'File is ruined'. We nearly cried because we where so eager to find out what happened next.
