Not too long after the forum crashed, I went on ebay and spent about $90 on a PS2 copy of Marvel Vs. Capcom 2. I have the DC version (also bought on ebay), but I loaned my DC to a friend, and besides, I have an arcade stick for my PS2. Hopefully, I can work on my skills on the game within the next 2 weeks to be prepped for Texas Showdown.
I also scored Sonic Riders this past weekend for PS2. It reminds me slightly of Kinetica, only you can't do tricks while on the ground, and there's no auto-boost spots on the track. The overall gameplay is fine, graphics are sweet, and the music is intense!! Just wish the AI wouldn't be so difficult at times. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
There's nowhere I can't reach. |
After playing the demo, I, too, wound up buying Republic Heroes for 360, because of the constant reminders of how awesome Jedi Power Battles was. Hopefully, I'll be able to run through it soon.
Also picked up Borderlands and Smackdown vs. Raw 2010 last night. However, I won't be able to start any of those for at least 3 days, because either tonight or tomorrow, I'm getting Beatmania IIDX 16 EMPRESS in the mail. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

So far, the game is quite amazing. I'm not sure on how any of the new characters play out, because the first thing I did was go online with my Hwoarang and win a ranked and player match. Also, in traditional music-game fan fashion, I got DDR X2 and Hottest Party 3. How ya doing, buddy?

Also, there are some high differences in the 2 games. Wii version got more Licenses than X2, but also, X2 brought the GR Specials to the US CS library, as well as the eternally damned Pluto The First, adding a Challenge chart with shock arrows. But eh, close enough to being the same game twice, I suppose. Wouldn't be surprised if the PS3/X360 versions releasing at the start of next year pulled the same shit. I was speaking idiomatically.

In the past week, I've blown at least, well, WAYYYY too much money on games.
Bought Mass Effect 3 FUCKING TIMES!!! Why? I'll tell you. First time - used a gift card to pay for a used copy while I was picking up Bayonetta (which I still have yet to pop in the 360). Got home, the chick gave me the Bonus DVD, not the game. Twas 8:30, and the bridge directly in front between my house and the store is out. Pointless in going back, especially since it was the only thing they had in the whole store. Second time - Went pick it up when I went out for a DDR session, again, a used copy, but from a more reliable person and store. Got home, popped it in, about 20 or so minutes into it, the disc goes "unreadable". Looked fine to me, but at that point, I was just annoyed with it, so... Third time - right after I got the error mid-game, I basically spent an hour downloading the full game from Games on Demand. Frankly, I would have liked to have at least beaten this game ONCE!!! before my DJ DAO beatmaniaIIDX controller comes in sometime next week (btw, that was $600, hence spending WAYYYY too much money), because once that comes in, I'll be lucky to pull away to go pick up Mass Effect 2 and MAG. What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

1. Can't drive.
2. Those were the "last" copies at each store. FELIPE NO
