Fundubbing - is this an international thing?

Then you're one lucky bastard, Qwarky, because I, sadly, have had to suffer listening to several different fundubs of Sonic X (don't even start with me, damnit), and they all seriously made me cough somethin' fierce up.

The people that did these fundubs don't even care about what the real dialogue says. For certain characters, all I hear is "blah blah, I'm fat, I'm stupid, I have a small penis.", and I just wanna strangle someone to death, tie their corpse to a log, and leave them out in the hot desert sun for eternity.

Honestly, if the dubbing sucks to you, then just fucking watch the Japanese versions with SUBS!!! If you can't do that, then you're just outta fucking luck.
