Razor bumps occur when a hair has been cut too close and falls below the surface of the skin. When it begins to grow back, it grows into the skin rather than out. Its most common with people who have curly hair.
I use shaving gel becuase I find it helps soften my particuarlly tough facial hair. Hot water and shaving gel means I get a shave the feels like I'm actually cutting the hairs off rather than ripping them out of my skin. Jam it back in, in the dark.
