I used to take it out on the wrong people and slept a lot. That was just coping. It eventually led me to a therapist and I knew I needed to make some changes in my life.
There is good stress and bad stress. When a job provides bad stress that affects your life even after you leave the office, it's time for a new job. Good stress keeps you challenged and motivated, I get bored and annoyed if I didn't have something to do at work that challenged me. I quit and went back to school to pursue an entirely different career path. I know there are people without that option and they do what they have to do to pay the bills. But really, there are so many opportunities out there, no one should have to deal with an awful job. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
