Now, this post isn't supposed to be trolling, so let me ask you this. What does it offer over WMP10 that could make me give up Foobar? I happen to think that Foobar is the best thing to happen to my music collection since... ever.
There is nothing that any recent version of WMP could offer you to go away from foobar, or Winamp, or really anything else, for that matter.

I'm not to happy that WMP11 screws up the MTP driver, though. I can't just transfer stuff using explorer to my Zen Touch now, I have to use WMP to "synch" files onto it, or else the player won't recognize the files.

Other than that, I see no real difference between WMP11 and 10.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Winamp 5 is perfectly fine because it's based on the 2.xx code. Every bit of functionality that 3 had over 2 was brought over in the form of plugins.

I don't get the big deal about foobar, though. Besides having a good sound with enough tweaking (of course with the cost of higher CPU usage,) there isn't much else that I like about foobar. In fact, I think it has poor playlist handling. The last time I used it, I had a playlist with a few thousand songs on it, and every time I scrolled through it, it had to reload all of the tag information. And I didn't have a complex playlist setup (just a basic [#]. [artist] - [album] - [track #] - [track] [time].) Maybe it helps reduce memory usage, but it doesn't make anything faster in the end.

There's nowhere I can't reach.
