No, installing the .NET framework has nothing to do with it.
It's the default behavior in Windows after the screen saver has been activated. To turn it off, just uncheck "On resume, display Welcome screen" under the Screen Saver tab in the Desktop Properties. Jam it back in, in the dark.  |
