VLC is pretty much good for everything, if you need an end-all solution.

I use Media Player Classic and DefilerPak, myself.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

It's even GPL software, so there is really no trouble.
And for the time being until that happens, sub groups should stop being so retarded.

While I'm fine with SSA/ASS subtitles, fansub groups should also package a standard SRT file in the MKV/OGM (because holy shit it supports multiple subtitle tracks,) minus all the bullshit positioned shit. Instead of wasting space just because you can, package a fucking PDF file with the notes.

Fansubbers aren't programmers, so I won't expect them to work on an OpenGL SSA/ASS renderer, but they're not absolutely retarded. They can practice some concern for non-Windows users.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

From my experiences with 1.0-pre8 (the latest build in Ubuntu's repositories,) it's pretty much the basics right now. It supports no styling whatsoever. All it can really do it read the subtitles and then display them such that they won't overlap each other, which is really just all you need to watch a video.

Here's to hoping the MPlayer team can make a full conversion of SSA/ASS.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Ah, I see.

I guess I'll have to keep an eye on the repositories for an update to MPlayer.

I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?
