Gamingforce Xbox LIVE Thread - Version 3.0

Submitting Your Info
I would highly prefer you follow the format I've used below when submitting your information. It will make it much easier for me to add you to the list. List your games alphabetically, and make sure you only list relevant games. If your games list ever changes, just make a post stating something like "I just sold that piece of shit NBA Live 06 game," or "Hey just picked up Halo 3. Goodbye, daylight" et cetera. If you just go and edit your post, that's fine too, but I may not find your change for awhile and your list in this first post will get out-of-date.

I have gotten rid of the lists since you can just check out anyone's Xbox Live profile on the links within this post to get an idea of the games they play. The lists were a bitch to maintain and were often out-of-date anyway. Just post your gamertag in the thread now, and I'll add it to the list.

Which games can I list?
List all Xbox games which have Xbox LIVE multiplayer capabilities. Xbox LIVE 'aware' or games with content download only should not be listed. Since all Xbox 360 games will have a minimum of XBL awareness and some type of leaderboard (except Oblivion?), you can list all of them, including arcade games. I will be separating them into multiplayer and non-multiplayer categories when I list them here however. Remember that this isn't some game indexer to keep track of all your games or shit like that, so if you have some games you aren't interested in anymore or feel you would never play them online again, simplify your list by excluding them.

Anxious for a game?
Colonel Skills has an IRC channel set up for XBL gaming. If you want to chat about Xbox, Xbox 360, Xbox Live, or are looking for someone to join your online deathmatch, get on the irc.xelium.net server, and go to channel #xblive.

Reminder
Just a courtesy tip. Give a brief voice/text message when doing a friend request. I personally always decline friend requests from people who just request out of nowhere when I have no clue who they are, unless their name is similar to their GFF name and I recognize them. Also, once you've added a friend from here, don't forget to go to "Submit Player Review" then to "Prefer Player" to get everyone's reputation boosted here (why not, right). Even original Xbox accounts keep track of reputation scores, although they themselves can't participate in reputation-scoring.

Hey, within the last 5 minutes there was finally an Xbox LIVE update. Anyone know what this is? I'll go research. Hoping for DOA4 fix / backwards compatibility improvements.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Guess I should just leave Oblivion off completely then. Any objections?

Kameo: Elements of Power is now officially Xbox LIVE Multiplayer Compatible. You have to download the system link / XBL co-op add-on (free) from Marketplace as well as download the in-game auto-update. A little late, but still good news.

Double Post:
First post finally up-to-date. Check my section on you thoroughly to make sure I didn't fuck anything up.

PGR3 Auto Update
Posted: April 14, 2006 @ 10:02 am (2 hours, 50 minutes ago) By: Major Nelson

PGR3

Toss in PGR3, and when you connect to Xbox Live, there is an awfully nice auto update waiting for you. This AU adds some new features, including the following:

Tournaments – Be one of 64 players to qualify with the best lap time using a car and route that’s predetermined. If successful, move on into the Elimination rounds to compete with 7 other drivers. The top 4 in each race move on until the final race where only the first place driver earns the victory.

Tournament Channel (Gotham TV)– Watch other players race in tournament Elimination rounds.

“Quit to Lobby” (Abandon option in PlayTime race) Host can now take all participants back to the lobby in a play time session, rather than booting them all back to the Play Time menu.

“Lock to Host Car” and “Lock to Host Car Class” (PlayTime | Xbox Live | Create Race | Race Mode | City | Route) are two new toggles that the lobby creator can turn on or off to limit what type of cars his/her competition can use in a play time race over Xbox Live.

Previously Played Routes List (PlayTime | Route Creator | Previous Live Routes) – Play other gamers routes that they created in the Route Creator over Xbox Live and store up to 10 in your “Previously Played Routes List”. You have the option to save or discard them and use them in your own sessions.

All Cars Position Toggle (More | Options | HUD | Position toggle) – In races modes with multiple cars where target is not displayed, this shows the current place every car in the race is in throughout the event.

Hide HUD Toggle (More | Options | HUD | HUD toggle) – This gives the player the option to turn off ALL in race HUD displays in all camera views.

Voice Communicator Identifier – In a multiplayer race the name of the gamertag will now flash in the upper left hand corner when speaking into a voice communicator, making it possible to identify the speaker.

Online Career rotating car class hoppers – All 8 hoppers in the Online Career (Breakneck Racing, Nurburgring F1 Challenge, Speedway Skirmish, Knockout World Tour, Nordschleife Drivers Club, Urban Rally, Gotham Duelling, and Dusk Til Dawn Racing) now change the required entry car class daily.

Wheel Support – Control set for steering wheels and dynamic updates have been added for the Hori, Mad Catz, and Joytech Nitro wheels (all via the More | Options | Controller | Wheel A configuration).

Online Qualifier Achievement – 50 gamerscore is now awarded for qualifying, then attempting the first elimination round of a tournament.

PLUS:
The HUD no longer remains invisible after looking back, hitting the Guide button, and then re-entering the game and it’s now possible to view if you have already purchased a car while shopping in the showroom via the “Cars Owned” tally under the Car Stats section.

Have fun!

If you look at the in-game EA Burnout News thingy whatever, it says you can unlock the Circuit City/Best Buy/Gamestop cars in the game. Two are just for getting a medal on two particular events in the Assassin/Dominator rank, and one is for completing the Motor City Challenge sheet. Of course, it didn't give me any even though I have the requirements already filled, but I'm going to try to get the medals again and see if that works.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

Good thing I've got the details:

Those of you eagerly awaiting the E3 content next week on the Xbox Live Marketplace, have to wait no longer to learn what you'll be able to download.

From 8th May until 15th May, those of you accessing the Marketplace can access some of the best E3 content including the first Gears of War hi-def trailer, a playable demo of Lost Planet: Extreme Condition and theres even time for some Game with Fame sessions live from the show floor with celebs like Dave Navarro, Method Man and Jenny McCarthy (and yes we haven't a clue either who they are!).

Over 60 pieces of content will be avaliable altogether, including demos and trailers from the show floor. Here's a complete list of what is on offer:

Playable demos/trailers:

* Test Drive Unlimited
* Moto GP 06
* Crackdown
* Dead or Alive: Xtreme 2
* LOTR: The Battle for Middle Earth II
* Lost Planet: Extreme Condition
* Sonic The Hedgehog
* Splinter Cell: Double Agent
* Viva Pinata
* And plenty more trailers for unannounced games!

Also avaliable:
* Call of Duty 2 - New Multiplayer Map Packs
* Release of UNO on Xbox Live Arcade
* Game with Fame sessions
* Play and Win contests with Xbox 360 and Arcade titles
* Hi-Def blockbuster movie trailer downloads
* Limited edition E3 gamerpics and themes
* Backstage Pass to see developers preparing for E3

And now we can see why Xbox Live needed a day off to prepare for next weeks events. But we'll be there to bring you all the images and footage you need!
__________

Lookin' forward to UNO; probably out on the 10th. Also, DOAX2 won't disappoint. No one cares that much about CoD2 packs and WHERE THE HELL ARE THE NEW PDZ MAPS ALREADY.

FELIPE NO

Shit should be updated now. Double check the first post incase I fucked up.

Also, Oblivion and Ninja Gaiden Black don't have any XBL functionality. Since this is an Xbox Live thread and not a List-Your-Games thread, I didn't add them to the first post. And just to clarify, if a game has leaderboards and XBL multiplayer support, they will only be listed in the multiplayer section instead of both sections (not sure if Mo0's Marble Blast Ultra dual listing was intentional, for example).

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I don't remember it having leaderboards. If anyone knows for sure let me know and I'll add it.
