This little beauty will be reopened once May comes along and Bungie officially announces the game. Don't get too excited, now.
Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Let's hope they actually start making the game earlier than six months before release like last time.
There's nowhere I can't reach. |
And they hope you fix your dexterity. Guess nobody will get anywhere.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Of course, you certainly cannot dislike a game you are good at.

But he saw it on a forum about Halo 3. Therefore, although it has nothing to do with Halo 3, it is somehow relevant.
What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
There have already been documented admittances from Bungie about how Halo 2 was an incomplete disaster upon launch day, but it's refreshing seeing that this long after the fact, the shit is still trickling down to the fan. I try to give myself solace with the idea that all these H2 mistakes will prevent the same from happening to H3. But then again, the real Bungie Studios were absorbed by Homeland Security or something, so who knows.

Just because some people don't value a storyline in an FPS doesn't mean it should be completely discarded. Not all FPSes have bad storylines, and the ones that don't are only made better because of it. Not sure where the hell the whole "fuck the storyline, it's just a shooter" mentality came from, or why people actually accept that as justification for a poor end product, but I completely disagree.

THIS IS THE REAL HALO 2. X02 REVISITED. THIS IS THE WAY THE WORLD ENDS. 2007 3 This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Considering it's the absolute first official Halo 3 material ever released, it was damn good. It was an announcement trailer, not a gameplay demonstration or something.
And holy fuck, they sure did announce it. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
It's just wishful thinking to actually suggest Bungie would consider actual Halo canon relevant in the game-making process. TheRealBungie has since dissipated. I was speaking idiomatically. |
Holy shit, today I just watched the Halo 3 trailer for the hundred and eighty-first time and I noticed that if you listen very carefully to the left rear channel (if you have a surround setup) about 2 seconds after the "I am your sword" line, you can hear Cortana making a sexual moaning sound. Not even joking. Anyone have any ideas as to what this might mean.
What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
Yes, I watched it on the 360, but there is an HD surround version of the PC trailer if you look hard enough.

Even people who didn't participate in the beta had friends that did or at least heard of the beta and peoples' (mostly positive) impressions. Any publicity just adds to the hypedness.

Almost everything that ruined Halo 2 has been fixed in Halo 3. I couldn't believe it either, but the game is practically flawless. Campaign is actually playable this time around, with incredible replay value, and they somehow led off the terrible Halo 2 storyline and turned it around into something amazing.
Any Halo fan who was disappointed with 2 will be playing 3 for quite some time, so long as they aren't blind/deaf/mentally instable. The new features Halo 3 brings to the table will set the standard for the FPS genre. The interfacing between bungie.net and your copy of Halo 3 are ridiculously awesome. That's one thing Halo 2 got right, but now it is several times better, recording even stats of your campaign games down to how many Wraiths you killed in a given session. Forge provides hilarious multiplayer experiences, and is even great for just messing around with solo. And with saved films you can relive it all. 2 megabytes will save your entire 45 minute campaign level/multiplayer match and give you complete camera and time control. Pause, take a screenshot, upload it to bungie.net, save as wallpaper, owned. Multiplayer is extremely well-balanced and so far nearly lag-free, even in 4-player co-op. Netcode has clearly been significantly improved since Halo 2. Who knows how this will change when all 9999 million people sign in on the 25th, but so far I'm very impressed. The whole game is just completely solid. I will even list every complaint I have with it just to show how nitpicky it gets: -Melee animations are awful (Halo 2 style). -One glitch that sometimes makes the skull on "The Storm" disappear. -Campaign lasts only about 12 hours on normal. Yet it is obviously is infinitely more enjoyable than Halo 2's 13 hour campaign. -Not as much new music as I was hoping for, although it all is still fantastic. -Warthog physics were not brought back to Halo 1 style because noobs can't control it. Other than those few small issues, the game is perfect. Just finishing the last level of the game will make you appreciate that Bungie somehow listened to fans' complaints and took action accordingly. Gay boss fights are gone, sword no longer incredibly cheap, environments are once again expansive and amazing just to look at, etc etc etc. PS3 has already shut down the majority of its manufacturing plants. Pack it up, AssZone 2. The fight is finished. 10/10. There's nowhere I can't reach.

Even given that caveat, a 7 is unwarranted for the campaign portion. There is not a single FPS campaign that has more entertainment and replay value than Halo 3's. Luckily, nearly every other review out contradicts their 7 rating of campaign, making theirs an irrelevant outlier.

The Warthog even had dash lights in the original Halo.

Arguing that lag doesn't exist, lmao. Has there ever been a more pointless argument with a more obvious conclusion. Welcome to this planet called Earth.

I was mainly just agreeing to how you said it's more fun with no radar, and that it's a result of being forced to use it in 2/3 that it becomes more accepted. I don't personally believe it is impossible for anyone else to understand that just because they never played Halo 1 over XBC.
