True, he got the ball rolling, and practically invented the anime genre. But I'd say Miyazaki is appropriately described as a god-parent since he took up the role of raising anime beyond what Tezuka had established before his death. Most amazing jew boots |
Don't get me wrong. I agree with you that there are a lot of great influential "intermediate" artists(pardon the term), and its a shame that they don't have the recognition that these other two are getting. But the point remains none of them have as much widespread notoriety as Tezuka and Miyazaki.
The ambiguous label of him as godfather is incidental to the fact that this thread is a Miyazaki circle-jerk, and UR DOIN IT RONG by pissing into it. EDIT: not to mention that this all has already been discussed on the first page. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
