Of course, this problem makes sense, since the sensor bar detects IR radiation, and the sun is a huge heat source. From the same reporter, it sounds as if Nintendo is working on a potential fix, or at least something to lessen that issue. Answer this question: would this really be a problem for you? IR radiation is not cancer inducing. IR is the acronym for InfraRed light, which is, in all practicality, heat. IR emitting LEDs are used in a great number of remote control applications, like your TV remote.
You are thinking of UV radiation, which may be carcinogenic depending upon the intensity, duration of exposure, and frequency. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
