I'm probably going to say that I'm glad Wallace and Gromit one the best animation- I was totally rooting for it the whole way. I love Ghibli and I love Burton... but after having to do a claymation short as a final project in school once, I give those people /so much respect/ because that is the most incredibly tedious thing you can imagine. It totally pwns other forms of animation, I believe.
Corpse Bride was awesome, too for its stop animation... but they appeared to have a lot of shortcuts (ingenious shortcuts, but shortcuts nonetheless) to get the fluid animation they did. Aardman Animations totally deserved every bit of that award, in my opinion.
Jam it back in, in the dark.
