Silent Hill 2 for PS2. This probably marks the third time I've purchased this now after having bought the Xbox version twice and ultimately selling both copies with 2 machines.

I've never actually completed the game before since I lost the drive to do so when an idiot former admin at another forum I visit spoiled the ending in a forum description heading. With the movie on the horizon though my interest in the SH titles, 2 in particular, is at a high so I figured I'd drop $8 for a copy and finally finish it.

But overall, the ZoE2 Premium Pack was by far the best thing about january. The art book, heavy gauge, soundtrack and game are all beautifully presented in this huge box (with even more art imprinted on it) and it just looks good. I didn't have to pay postage as the person selling this (I requested it directly from him, since he told me he owned it and was selling up some of his gear) just happened to be in my town early jan.

The art book is by far one of the greatest art books ever made. There was only 1000 of these box sets ever made, so I'm extremely happy.
Couldn't agree more. Although I had no idea there were only 1000 of those produced which makes me thankful I still have mine even though I tried to part with it some years back with no luck...

Recent Purchases: Drakengard 2 & God Of War [Greatest Hits]. I picked up Drakengard for $7 from a local video rental store that was in surprisingly good condition and God Of War Greatest Hits version today from EBgames before dropping a preorder for the sequel.

Just a general question about PS2 Greatest Hits titles while on the subject but has anybody else experienced problems playing them on their PS2, preferbly the older models? See, the rental store had the GH version of God Of War and that was giving me nothing but "Disc Read Error" all the time unless I went through some ritual of constantly opening and closing the tray for 45 minutes to an hour to which the game would work....sometimes. So for this reason I picked up a new copy today but I'm getting the same bloody error message and problem. My other games and DVDs work fine though...

There's nowhere I can't reach.

your ps2 "laser" or "disk drive" is giving up (sorry I don't know the exact technical word)

I have the first model of the ps2 (got it at launch) and about 2 years ago it started to do the same thing. At first it was only one or two game that wouldn't work, but after some reset the game would play... 2 month later any game I was trying to play was giving me a disk error...I called sony and they repaired it for free (well I had to pay the S&H but that's all) to know that my ps2 was 5 years old and they still repaired it for free, you might try to call them and see what they can do. If they charge you, I think now you better just buy another one...
I hope this isn't the case. I mean I can put in any game or DVD aside from God Of War GSv and it'll work fine.

I guess I'll have to just look into that then and hope for the best.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Well my last purchase before the board went down was God Of War II on release which I since went on to complete and love every minute of.

With the board down I found a brand new copy of Yakuza for the PS2 for only $24.99 and as such I've been playing that since Saturday. Smashing people's faces into walls or desks is quite satisfying before heading off to a hostess bar to get some ass.

I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?
