Stress gauge seems something like the stamina gauge but it only rises when Snake is under alot of stress like being in the thick of battle or even having to navigate through dark, tight tunnels especially if you're claustophobic....which apparently Snake is. If the Stress gauge gets too high then you can either have a cigarette or whip out the girlie magazine to help lower the gauge.

Also new Famitsu Wave is out which contains a new trailer as well as a page revealing the earlier returning character for Snake's support team along with another returning character that I'm pretty sure sexninja may of posted but without any foreword before his spoiler I have no fucking idea. Aw man, I so glad they got HGW back, he has yet again made some great contributions. Pretty much enjoying everything he's composed. Haha, and man "BB Corps" is creepy, I love how they actually added in the emotions of the unit.

Yeah but I really like Toda's tracks too. Overall the OST, at least the first disc, "Atonement" and "Father & Son" is outstanding especially in all 3 composers mix together. That's all I'll be listening to though and it's a nice treat before the game's release!

Speaking of which...I guess it was inevitable since the game is shipping to retailers June 6th but it looks like somebody as got a copy early over on GameFAQs. They've managed to post some details and screengrabs including these never before seen caps. NO SPOILERS:




Kind of a shame considering spoilers will no doubt hit everywhere which pretty much means a submergence from the internet earlier than planned. Pretty fucking bummed my EBgames isn't doing a midnight launch either..

Not too much spoilers from what I saw. The last video showcases that graveyard scene we saw in the E3 2006 video only with the upgraded visuals and lighting. Also in the video you get a peek at the Raiden Vs Gekkos only how it looks in the final game.

Apparently there were only 25,000 of these things for the whole of Euroland with Play.com being the UK distributor who are all sold out.

Honestely you're best not even venturing from GFF as spoilers from the guide have surfaced absolutely everwhere including the majority of social networking sites like LiveJournal, MySpace, YouTube etc to GameTrailers and Gamefaqs to PSN/XBL accounts getting friend invites and messages from account suicides containing spoilers. You've even got goons over at SA paying for AdBanners that contain heavy story spoilers for the game.

Fortunately GFF is untouched for now which is why I've mainly been floating between here, a smaller board I go to and the spoiler free thread on GAF. At least there's only 5 days left.

Yeah the guide is in EB/GameStop stores as of yesterday. Retailers should of begun receiving the game today too and one Wal-Mart even broke street and sold the 80GB bundle yesterday.

Speaking of the bundle Amazon did have it available today for preorder but the site quickly got bombarded and the site went down..

I saw some snaps of the LE guide cover and lithograph, looks pretty freaking nice for a guide especially among other LE guides previously released. I'm glad I preordered mine on Amazon when I did since it looks like they raised the price a little to $23 when it was originally listed at $19.50.

So what have we got left now, less than 3 days before I have this in me mitts...

You can get the deal and bundle by walking into a Wal-Mart store tonight at 12:01am. Both the game and bundles were shipped to retailers last week which is why some of the 80GB bundles have found themselves into the wild thanks to some Wal-Marts breaking street date. It also looks like Wal-Mart got most of the bundle shipments given folks from EB/GameStop have reported to of received 4 in the first shipment with Wal-Mart receiving twice that number, so availability shouldn't be an issue.

Since my EB seems to be one of the few that isn't doing a midnight launch I'll be having to wait until tomorrow at 10am before I can get mine.

Did anyone else get a Robocop feeling when starting up with the TV channels? It was like I was watching those OCP commercials that would be placed in the movie. It's not a bad feeling at all. Like a futuristic TV type of thing. I guess I'm hoping to see more through out the game.

Pretty much. I mean I pissed around with the Virtual Range and the Extras menu first and when I got to the opening I was kind of surprised and was wondering why I was watching...

... a live action interview with David Hayter. I then managed to flip through the channels which were especially the work out one but my favorite had to be the cooking show within a bomb shelter. When I went back to the interview with Hayter I got a PMC commercial that was fucking weird as hell and for a Russian PMC, not Mantis.

I've been playing though for 6 hours or so and loving every minute. My progress ended just after meeting up with Rat Patrol and leaving the mansion.

Not quite sure. I think it had to do with the Extras menu since trying to access before today required a password but you can go to the Extras menu now and download a new music track for the iPod and download the "Red Brick" camo for OctoCamo.

They're in there, in fact you could do that and some more in the MGO beta. To do that grab and roll CQC move you need to grab the enemy by pressing and holding R1, then tap X to to drop Snake and the enemy in a sitting position on the ground and then hit the left analog stick in any direction and R1 at the same time to roll them over on their stomach and hold down R1 to choke them out. It's a hand move for MGO since its harder for opponents to shake out of.

You can also do the hold up and MONKEY STEALS THE PEACH move that was shown in the 15 minute presentation too.

omg act 5 is pissing me off.

I'm at the very start upon landing and from what i can see it's a matter of patience. Either the patience to kill off the enemies or the patience to learn all the ways to sneak past through all the infantry. I've already died so many times I don't suppose there are any tricks to this.

The answer is to evade.

You'll get nowhere if you're spotted and on high Alert since the FROGS will constantly be respawning trying to take you out and you'll also get more Gekkos for your effort. Not to mention at the end of the stern is a watertight door you've got to open by rapidly pressing Triangle and doing with Gekkos and an army of FROGS shooting you is next to impossible.

My trick was at the start to equip the OctoCamo mask and press up against the container right in front of me where you start. Let the 2 FROGS do a search and move on and then gradually make your way along the left side sticking to the walls and shadow since your camo index will always be 99% and the FROGS won't see you. Make sure you've got the Solid Eye equipped and if any FROGS stand in your way of progress then just use the Mk2 to knock them out.
When you get to within sight of the door you'll see a Gekko patrolling. Theres also 2 FROG snipers with 1 of each side up high watching the door so be sure to take those out before proceeding. When the Gekko turns from the door and patrols in the other direction make a run for the door and you should be all set. If something goes wrong and the Gekko sees you then another one will jump down right in front of the door, just whip out the Rail Gun to bring both of them down and you should still have time to open the door without any FROGS bothering you.

It's an area of patience so just keep your head down and watch for FROGS and their patrol patterns and you'll get through.
