I'm pretty sure HOW TO FIGHT BACK of http://www.finalfantasyxii.com will be never updated.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

4. The scene with Penelo and the orcs, along with the Penelo FMV, are nowhere to be found.
I thought the scene where Seeqs confine Penelo will be added in the US version, but is it confirmed? Either way, it's a small matter for me, compared with other faults.

Quote:
Could you give us an example of what new scenes will be added to the game?

Kawazu: Well, for example, initially one of the scenes was cut from the game due to rating issues in Japan. If we had left the scene in there we would've gotten a different rating (ed. note - we assume they're talking about the age ratings for the game). However, we put it back because it wasn't problem on the ESRB side.

I guess the scene handcuffed Panelo is in captivity was cut because it could make us think of a raping incident or something and then SE couldn't release FFXII JP for all ages. Indeed, Kawazu admitted it in this interview.

As for dancing Panelo...
Spoiler:
SE were supposed to insert that movie in a certain village, but as they made another events scene, it was cut. Maybe it's not a convincing reason for you, though.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I've heard he drops the Masamune, but does he also drop any of the FF swords? That would be really kool.
Spoiler:
Nah. But it's also notable that he has a replica of the sword of Roto (DQIII) and we can get it in the gameplay, though he doesn't drop it (indeed, strictly speaking, he doesn't drop Masamune. It's Montblanc who gives us Masamune after we beat him).

Don't worry. You need not.

They made the same but different FMV for the DS spin-off =3

Spoiler:
I'm playing without a guide like i always do on the fist run. So I'm gonna finish the game with much % as I can, and then i'm going to look at a guide to complete the game 100%. Is that possible or are there some items or events that you can only unlock in certain points of the story?
Spoiler:

Basically, none (only if the US port is quite the same with the JP version). Nobody can get a certain weapon in Nabudis without a guide, though.

I disagree (no offense). The gameplay surely resembled FFXI to some extent, but it lacked some significant things that make FFXI still alive today: Communication, virtual society, virtual relationship and virtual value that make us spend an awful lot of time lvling many jobs, getting über weapons and gears or just chatting. Though I'm sure more than half of FFXI players actually got bored with the game, they must take forever to quit just because they hesitate to delete thier own character and say goodbye to thier friends.

I don't intend to rubbish the game that many people are going to purchase, but I agree FFXII can't deserve perfect score and it's far cry from the perfection. My rating is, while I adore Yasumi Matsuno and ex-4th development team, 85/100 at best.

Btw, I was amazed to hear it still costs all MP to summon Espers in the US version. It's unanimously awful. I expected SE to improve this game a lot, because FFTA for US and EU were pretty better than the JP version...

Maybe the scan of this book can satisfy you. It will cover more than hundred illustrations with comments.

Nah, it's from FFXII as seanne says.
I really hope RW will be like this, but sadly the resolution of DS is very low.

Anyone know what that thing's for? A hunt that I missed or something?
It's called a fire-elemental or Spirit Salamand. Just an obstacle monster. He will disappear when weather changes.
Spoiler:
Also, We need not kill Salamand to get specific weapons, as opposed to Gnome and Lacey.

As long as FF games feature pre-rendered FMVs, which FFXIII still does have, I'm afraid it can't happen. However, in FFXI and a new FF MMORPG (FFXIV?), every gear and weapon is displayed on the screen, though I never recommend such time-wasting MMO games...

Oh, FFXII for US has sold 1,500,000 copies in a week.

How ya doing, buddy?

Wait.
Just in case you don't aware, Ultimania Omega is just an extension of game guide books and indeed very redundant for me. I enjoyed earlier Ultimania a lot, but recently SQUARE ENIX has published them in installments to exploit our money. So, most of contents are just overstated, redundant and boring (unless you are an über Ivalice fan).

Nonetheless it has an awesome artwork gallery for 43 pages (I can't scan it here, tho) and long interviews with each voice actor and especially my fav composer, for which I bought this book for 17 US dollars. I don't know if non-Japanese can enjoy this book, but I prefer this to both Senario and Battle Ultimanias. Far from satisfactory anyway, though.

Cellius: Clash of Swords, A Speechless Battle and Desperate Fight.

And of course: Clash on the Big Bridge ~FFXII Version~
Besides, Upheaval (Imperial Version) is also a major boss battle theme.

As far as short range weapons go, I think the best weapon for Yiazmat are Masamune or Yagyu Darkblade. Also, I remember Fomalhaut was still not so weak with dark shorts since Yiazmat's weekness is dark.

However, as I've not played FFXII for over 6 months and I know nothing of the US or EU port, please don't take my post serioulsy.

There is a 1/10 chance that the chest appears.
Then, a 1/100 chance that it has the spear.
