It's pretty hard to find one single game that I can call the greatest of all time, since every each one have something that makes it special.
The first one that comes to my mind is definitely the Diablo series, specially Diablo 2 and expansion. A very great game with amazing story and fast paced action. It gave MONTHS of fun. Best $50 i've ever spent (battlechest  ).
The second one should be Dark Forces II - Jedi Knight. It was the first FPS that allowed you to wield a lightsaber as a weapon, and it was VERY fun. I think it featured a great level design, not to mention a great story too. The second JK was very fun too, but not more than the first one.
The third should be Half-Life, the atmosphere that it had was pretty particular, I can't explain it. HL2 was a very good game too, but it had a different atmosphere.
Fourth has to be Metal Gear Solid. Maybe it didn't had the best graphics for that time, but it had a great story, with twisted plot and everything. I had to pause the game and replay it sometimes just to understand what was going on. Hideo Kojima is a genius.
That's all that comes to my mind right now. If I keep thinking I probably won't finish this post :ashamed:
Jam it back in, in the dark.
