Ok, this is a question because I'm too lazy to go look it up or read through all 50+ pages of smash thread-age in order to find out.

Does this game have it's own friend codes or does it just run from the wii system friend codes?

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Awww, that's too bad about the Wii-mote being crap. Does the "Classic controller" hold up any better? I'm getting one of those pretty soon, and I have one functioning GC controller, so I guess the other two peeps are boned when it comes down to playing a 4-player bout.
This just makes me think that it's too bad my Wavebird is malfunctioning. So sad.
Classic controller works great. Although I did remap the buttons. And if you get one of those grip thingies for it, it's pretty much just as good as a gamecube controller.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I'm really liking how Diddy plays. I just wish he didn't die from smashes so easily. Damn these light characters! But he's too fast.

I also like Luigi and Peach, because they basically play exactly the same as they did in SSBM, and were two of my old standbys.

I'm still in the "unlocking all characters" portion of my game, and when I'm done, I'll go through and add all the new Brawl codes for people.

So far the hardest thing in the game has been unlocking Jigglypuff. What a fucking bitch!

I think I have all the characters except for Wolf and Toon Link.

I was speaking idiomatically.

So I went through and added everyone on the Wiki page, plus a few from this thread (Temari and Lacerta).

So far the only authorized friend I have is Kairyu, though. How long does it take for friends to be recognized? =/

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

Once they have it on their list? A good majority of the people I added on the first day registered the moment I had put in their friend code in.
Hm, weird. Every single person still says "awaiting authorization" on my game. Do I have a setting wrong somewhere? =/

HEY SPREADSHEET YOU FORGOT TO ADD ME TO THE PIE CHART, PLZ DO SO KTHX.

Also, FINALLY got Toon Link, had to beat him down with DK to do so.
Do stickers not apply to characters outside of SSE? It seemed to me like I was getting nice strong hits using Luigi (since he's the one I buffed the most with the stickers) and I had little problem beating characters without having to use a big slow strong character.

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

Stickers only work in SSE.

It would be kind of crazy if they worked in regular brawls, though it would've been interesting if there were a "Sticker Mode" or something.
Ah, I guess I just go so proficient through playing that it wasn't much an issue. The game is starting to feel real, like SSBM did. It just took a bit to get back to the feeling. Now I just need my Wavebird to get here and I'll be set~

Jam it back in, in the dark.

It really helps to set up your Wii to have a static IP. You'll have a lot better ping as a result, and set your MTU to 1500.

I couldn't even connect, and now I'm playing pretty smooth against a lot of people. 1 on 1's there's basically no lag at all...and the only time I see a lot of lag is on stages with a lot of "stuff" going on, like pokemon shooting crescent things all over hitting everyone, or when someone has a really complicated final smash.

Played some fun matches against Miles, Lacerta, Kai, Slash, Summonmaster and SuperSonic. Was a little laggy at times, but like I said, only on really complicated stages.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

I hate every character with a sword. Seriously.

Also, I had never seen Diddy's final smash, and the first time I got it it was lagging so I kinda, flew around and suicided. I figured it out the second time though, and it was pretty badass =P

Hm, I just played a stock game of 100 lives against 3 computers on Final Destination. Granted it took quite a long time, but I also got about 300 KO's and about 20 CD's. It was pretty fun, actually =P

How ya doing, buddy?

Usually have a lot of fun just selecting random every round... but seriously, King Dedede is the worst character in the game bar none. He's fat and slow and his smash attacks aren't even strong. I wish you could edit the characters it cycles through when playing with random characters.

And I'm kinda 50/50 on whether or not I like Final Smashes. They're pretty cheap, just like hammers. But they're so cool to watch!

Yes, I am sure. I also have over 200 KOs. Still no Random Stage Select.
I had random stage select long before I had 200 KOs. I had it when the only thing I'd played was some Classic and SSE, not online at all. So, I'm not sure what you get it from.

Have you played through Classic mode yet?

Anyway I'm up for some matches for the next hour if you're interested. How does one go about unlocking Wolf or any other characters?
Spoiler:
To get Wolf, after you've beaten SSE, go back to The Ruins, and after you ride the elevator down past the shards of crystals that shoot out of the walls, don't go in the first door, keep riding down. There will be a new door at the bottom of the pit. Go in to fight Wolf.

To get Toon Link, go in the first door you see in The Forest, after having beaten SSE. Fight him in there.

Jigglypuff is easier to get through doing one of the Events than through SSE, I think. I can't remember which event it was (but I think it was #10?).

The rest of the characters you should get just from beating SSE.

Kai, I'm slightly pissed off by that match. o_o

Two suicides by stars and one by overshooting an Up+B.
Haha, at least you can blame yourself though. I hate it when I die because I'm not paying on to what's going on in a stage that has too many dangerous things. And I hate the Metroid stage that flips. Stupidest stage ever.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

If you hate Frigate Orpheon (fuck you Guru! >=( Great stage with AMAZING music selection), then you'll really dislike Spear Pillar, which fucks with you wayyyyy more.

On a side note, anyone try that CD factory thing? I haven't had a chance to today.
I would try it except I can't seem to figure out how to add conveyor belts. It's not in my stage builder options palette, or else I'm doing something wrong.

You have to build at least 5 stages to unlock more parts with the conveyor belt included.

Also, PK Starstorm is fucking HAX in a 4-player FFA. Ness's version kills in more or less one hit, and Lucas's just juggles everybody off the screen. It CAN be a bit spotty, but I got no KO's with it only once.
It's pretty awesome to watch, but it's also not too hard to roll dodge if you know what you're doing. =P
