If it were up to Steve Jobs, iTMS wouldn't have DRM. He's a vocal opponent of the format -- but major labels refuse to sell their music through iTunes if there isn't some form of DRM.
I don't know how Amazon is going to get away from it, but if they figure out a way to do it and still manage to have support from every studio, I can't imagine iTMS will be far behind in getting rid of their DRM.
