Poor countries like those in Africa are where Linux has achieved a great deal of dominance, since it's a free operating system that helps impoverished people get wired on the cheap. And look, now Gates is focusing his attention on the poor people of Africa. Philanthropy is never a bad thing, but Gates is hardly doing this on a whim.
