Front Mission 4 didn't strike me as a very dull game unless you're the sort who's bored by any strategy RPG. Although this is where I cynically grumble that Nippon Ichi's games probably get attention more for the flashy special effects than the strategy aspect. FM4 let you play around for hours with mech assembly as any good giant robot themed game should, but they also let you just purchase pre-assembled (non-sucky at that) mechs and skip straight to the battles.
I'm assuming the game system is getting some tweaking as well? I never played the first game, but I imagine the gameplay must be pretty clunky compared to the later entries, just by virtue of having six games overall in which to refine the system. Jam it back in, in the dark. ![]() |
